Our Mission

The Somali Blind Diaspora Association (SBD) is wholeheartedly dedicated to supporting blind and visually impaired Somalis in Somalia and also provides guidance and consultation to the blind somali diaspora. Our mission is to create support and opportunities that enrich the lives of these individuals in a sustainable way, enabling them to actively participate in society. With our support, we aim not only to meet immediate needs but also to open new perspectives. Our assistance includes:
  • Education and Participation: We create opportunities for education and personal development, empowering blind individuals to achieve their dreams.
  • Housing and Living Conditions: Our goal is to promote safe and dignified living conditions that offer a sense of security and stability.
  • Healthcare: We support access to healthcare services and doctor visits, ensuring the wellbeing of those we help.
  • Basic Necessities: Through the provision of food, clothing, and essential tools, we make sure that no basic need goes unmet.
  • Financial Assistance: During challenging times, we provide financial support to offer security and hope
